  1. Books:

    1. Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment and How It Can Help You Find—and Keep—Love. The classic and first consumer book on attachment.

    2. Polysecure: Attachment, Trauma and Consensual Nonmonogamy. I recommend this to people regardless of their relationship dynamic. It provides an amazing introduction to attachment theory and includes disorganized attachment as an approachable option.

  2. Articles:

    1. Good Men Project. Solid mens website but their Men's Guide to Relationships is a particularly good one.

  1. Books

    1. King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: Rediscovering the Archetypes of the Mature Masculine. This is one of the first books I read that changed the way I thought about masculinity and how I could embrace masculinity in a non-toxic, empowering way.

    2. Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma. Recommended by my first somatic therapist this is a wonderful introduction to trauma work through somatic methods. Particularly for avoidant men, emotional discovery can be extremely difficult and this is a great resource to start with.

    3. The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma. The first half of this book in particular is a great introduction to physical manifestations of trauma. Valuable for all of us (probably everyone) who's dealt with 'lower case t' trauma in their lives, not just Trauma.

    1. Sean Hotchkiss. My first coach and a good friend. All his writings are excellent, he had a multipart series on masculinity that's worth finding in the archives. â€‹
